So you made the cut. You earned a spot on the roster of the coveted weekend soirée at your friends beach house. We know you’ve got this. However, we wanted to offer up a few simple guidelines to start your visit off on the right foot with your host. Carolyn is host to house guests this 4th of July. There’s no better place to watch fireworks than from the dock of her lake home and she loves sharing this special spot with her out of town guests. Her ideal guest is one who makes themselves at home, they pitch in and most of all, they’re willing to roll with chaos.

You’ve heard the adage, fish and house guest smell after three days. So when making your travel arrangements this summer, be mindful not to overstay your welcome. Communicate your travel plans with your host and always arrive will a small token of appreciation. After all, you’ll want an invitation to return next year. Are we right?
